Hi,

at the Institute for Networked Systems (iNETS) we're offering a new thesis on the implementation and assessment of sensing mechanisms for wireless devices. We aim at implementing well-established sensing algorithms and (un-)cooperative decision algorithms to study the performance of cognitive radio systems. The implementation will be conducted on a state-of-art software radio platform named WARP (http://warp.rice.edu). You will learn how to build signal processing blocks in FPGA and make them interact with an in-fabric PowerPC core. C programming skills and an understanding of hardware logic and digital signal processing are strictly necessary.

The position is open and can be filled immediately. For further questions, don't hesitate to contact my colleague Xi Zhang.

Best regards,
Andreas
