BA: Extension of the WRW acoustic simulation algorithm

At the Institute for Technical Acoustics we offer an interesting Bachelor-/Studienarbeit for those Students interested in room acoustic simulations. Room acoustic simulations are used to predict a soundfield in a room (or car) before the actual concert hall is built. This way it is cheaper and faster to come to a design for the right purpose of the room. At the moment we are developing a new algorithm to do so, which is called WRW and based on a seismic exploration method.

The part you will be working on, is the extention of the WRW algorithm by creating the possibility of simulating more complex geometries. For this you will have the chance to learn more about simulation methods, acoustic propagation, acoustic properties and smart visibility algorithms. This Bachelor project can be done in German or English.
